After many years of consultations and discussions, the Boudreau was finally presented with an official Coat of Arms by the Governor General of Canada, Adrienne Clarkson during a ceremony on February 20, 2002 at the Notre-Dame d'Acadie school in Chéticamp, Nova Scotia.
